I donate blood every few months, mostly whenever the bloodmobile comes to my synagogue on Sunday mornings while my kids are at Sunday School. It’s very convenient and a good use of my time to do something good that will help others throughout the community.
Giving blood usually doesn’t hurt, but if you are squirmish at all you don’t have to watch; and there is the added benefit of refreshments afterward before they send you on your way.
It feels good to know that I am able to help others in need and that I’m setting a good example for my kids to do things to help others as well.
